"Love your planes. I fly your TomKat every day. I have two built. It flies great. I'm building the lazydays now. It really reminds me of the Free Flights I built back in the fifties, when I was a teenager."
"I just got back from the flying field. A beautiful So-Cal day. Light winds and sunny blue sky.
Attached is a photo of my TomKat. A little beat up but still flies great. I've got several flying hours it. I used Ross foam board to build it. I use it for all my builds now as it is sort of water resistant. It's only $.88 a sheet from Walmart. With $Tree, a little dew will warp it unless you seal it with urethane.
I can not fine a 350mAmp battery to fit into the pod. I have to put it in the fuselage fwd of the servo tray (under the wing). It screws up the cg so I have to stick weights forward, under the pod. I don't like to do that. Where did you get the smaller 350mAmp battery that fits in your pods? Anyway, looking forward to my next build (LazyDays)."
"Tks for the pics, it was definitively useful. I flew LazyDazy this morning. There was a little breeze of maybe 5 or 6 mph. She took off right off my hand with maybe 10% power. Amazing nice flyer. Tks.
Now I'll built the Spitfire...."
"This is a GREAT website! I will be ordering a FPV CAMERA in the next couple of months. It looks like a super machine, really nice for the price. I might have to "root thru the DRAWER" and get my old RC STUFF out and play with it. Best regards"
"Hi, Many tks for your site. I really enjoy your models which I call S-L-C (Slow, Low and Close - even very close...). Based on the Tomboy measurements I have made other profile models which fly so well and I love the slow landings, and extremely cheap too... I do not need more, really. I was interested to know if you still carry the keychain camera? Many thanks again. (Another OldGuy...)"
"Thank you for the free plans on these beautiful models. I am beginning the SE5 now but have a question. Does the lower wing just glue flush to the fuselage bottom, trailing edge even to where the fuselage line angles toward the tail?
Thanks again for the plans!"
Thanks so much for the fast reply.
I am glad to have found your site. I am adding the Tomkat to my fleet as well. My first RC was a similar 1 channel from World Engines back in 1974 when I was in college. I am just getting back into flying now and am enjoying the scratch build foamies.
"The SE5 is my first biplane and I am building as a 3 channel. Slow and gentle is the way for this old guy.
Thanks again for your reply and for your plans. "
