The P40 and Corsair have beautiful curves that can be enjoyed with a more complicated roll and curl treatment. Empty weight for these three all come in at about 2 oz.
The Corsair and Warhawk are great fliers and float when glided with just a balance weight at the nose.
The Corsair uses the 1System Warbird pod, however, the P40 with its long nose will require the battery, receiver, ESC and servos be mounted central where the wing removes. The motor needs to be mounted at the nose on a plywood firewall and have a collet so a prop spinner can be installed.
Both models went together fairly easy after all the geometry was calculated and tweaked. Both models have about 34" span and very light wing loading. Wing area is about 1.4 sqft.
These are park flyers intended for 3 channel control. I always recommend that elevator travel be kept minimal until you get good at flying basic pattern.
The great thing about these models is the scale look and scale like speed in the air.
A model builder can go crazy adding cockpit details, rivets, panel lines, and other scale details. But I design for quick and EZ build using the $1 foamboard from Dollar Tree. Fly-ability, survivability, EZ repair, great looking scale models are my design philosophy. I suggest building, using the new Rustoleum spray paint for wood metal plastic, apply some decals (supplied) and fly before getting crazy about details.
Enjoy!
